Hello!

Philip Feist is a Southern California native, and an Oklahoma transplant. Born in Coronado and raised in Oceanside – both in San Diego County, California – he attended the University of California for his undergraduate degree, the Dallas Theological Seminary for his graduate degree, and the University of San Diego for his law degree.

The Feist family moved to Oklahoma in 1991, where Philip has practiced law since 1992. In addition to Oklahoma, he has been admitted to practice law in California (admitted in 1992), Kansas (admitted in 1995), the U.S. Virgin Islands (admitted in 1996), Florida (admitted in 2009) and Texas (admitted in 2012). When he chose to go into semi-retired status in 2024, he went on inactive status in California, Kansas and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Philip has taught numerous continuing legal education seminars; he has taught courses in his practice area at the university level, and he is a nationally published author in the trusts and estates practice area. He is also a certified mediator currently active in mediating estate disputes; he has been active in introducing pre-death mediation of estate disputes in Oklahoma, to avoid the financial and emotional costs of after-death estate litigation. He practices in the trust, estate and probate arena because it is intellectually challenging, personally engaging, and... well... because he just really enjoys it and the people he serves.

Philip has been domesticated for over 51 years, and he and his wife Ruth have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1983, where he served as a chaplain.
